coyote sing along hour
close the door, put out the light
you know they won't be home tonight
the snow falls hard don't you know
the winds of Thor blowing cold
they're wearing steel that's bright and true
they carry news that must get through
the dogs of doom are howling more
a wolf shall devour the sun, and this shall be considered a great misfortune
a second wolf shall devour the moon and this too shall do great mischief
mind the Ginnugagap
coyote sing along hour
so you run and you run to catch up to the sun but it's sinking
and racing around to come up behind you again
the sun is the same, in a relative way, but you're older
and shorter of breath and one day closer to death
ev'ry year is getting shorter
never seem to find the time
plans that either come to naught
or half a page of scribbled lines
hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way;
the time is gone, the song is over,
I thought I'd so much more to say.
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
when I come home cold and tired
I like to rest my bones besides the fire
far away, across the fields
the tolling of the iron bells
calls the faithful to their knees
to hear the softly spoken magic spells.
Uspol opinion
It’s not often someone manages to push buttons for me both as an environmentalist with socialist, inclusive politics AND as a hick DoD brat who still thinks “America” is some big worthwhile ideal. Until 2016 I didn’t even think that was possible. That THING and its stoolies push that though.
I only penciled one #drawing today but with the unexpected downtime really pushed on inks today, this is only some of them.
REPEATED RANT
be careful with needing violence to protect ourselves.
Because yes, we probably need it. But ethics and years of terrible fallout aside, the people who wind up on top in violent environments will stick around later. Let's be careful about handing the Mao Zedongs and Ariel Sharons of the world any control.
Power breeds parasites. Long live anarchy.
oh man
so I found Damnation Alley and might watch it all the way through, but you have to understand a portrayal of nuclear war is real offputting to someone my age.
The charming watch sergeant who's an artist in his free time is Paul Winfield. That's a familiar name so I looked him up and wow, if you know the dude from STII and Terminator it doesn't touch the huge list of stuff he did.
Turns out he was also Gay, his husband went two years before he did and he went in 2004, alav ha shalom.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
