Interview 2 down. I REALLY like this one and the interview lasted 30 minutes so maybe I did okay, and now no matter what else happens I feel shaken and weepy. Maybe I should get another food thing.

Interview 1 down. Didn’t read like I bombed it - in fact I managed to get “this applicant is funny and easy to be around” responses- but I also don’t think I aced it, either, because it was on the shorter side.

I'll do these job interviews, and then sometime later in the evening I'll have a half edible and listen to music.

wow the actual video for Stealing Sheep's "Shut Eye" is NOT in fact about a coyote nearly being trapped in a town of the dead and escaping only by sheer luck on a passing steam train. As such it's a lot less appealing.

Found a recipe for cu pi dou fu online and made it to get this tofu out of my fridge. Was surprised by how easy it was to bread with corn starch but difficult to dredge.

Among other reasons I need a job soon is it’s an excuse to avoid Seder with my parents, an unusually grim prospect. If I ever get a place big enough I’m gonna have an incredibly Queer Seder. Lots of folks but NO straights. I mean it’d be nice to do the whole basically kosher l’pesach thing days too.

so far today I woke up, started job hunt stuff and filed this week's UI stuff, did a phone screen and more job hunt stuff, set up a second interview tomorrow, even more job hunt stuff, filled out application on company site (not Indeed) as requested by phone interviewer.

so I feel really DONE rn.

Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi is the dramatic roll for initiative part that gets all the attention, but honestly my fave part of Carmina Burana winds up being In Taberna, where they sing about how everyone at some point winds up at the local and how it's awesome.

One thing I really hope changes if I ever get to move away from a relatively large street, is when I'm awake at night for whatever reason and someone on said relatively large street screams obscenities at whoever they're pissed off at. Wow do I not like that.

Years ago I'd settled on pencil => ink => color as easier than simply launching in and painting over pencils, and wound up doing comic book cut-and-grad coloring as potentially faster.

If comics use it, it's gotta be fast to turn out right? And if I finish art faster, that means I can learn more about coloring, potentially turn things around faster for customers, theoretically finish things rather than wander away and forget about em, right?

Of course NOW I'm seeing "block out big chunks of value, glaze color from there" is potentially much faster. Cell shading would give me a unified way of just blocking shading, work with lighter linework, and it'd also get me value contrast faster. I think maybe I can swap styles and still get the benefits of speed.

Gotta say "It's 3 AM, how could I shake up making art" is way better than "It's 3 AM and I'm a TERRIBLE ARTIST."

What if;

You condensed D&D “races” down to 4-6 playable non human stat boosts and 1-3 special abilities. Str + Cha, Int + Dex, Wis + Con etc, options like extra action per round, teleport 30’ once per rest etc.

Then you let players mix and match and choose the critters’ looks and culture. And those were big non human groups in your world. Unicorns, frog-folk, 4e gnomes, primitive illithid descendents, draconic satyrs, whatever.
