okay this is cool. Mandarin is kinda logical, so people from Deguo speak dewen, people from Faguo speak fawen,etc. Naturally I want to say which languages I *can* sorta understand so... people for Russia, EYUOSI, speak EYU. And similarly everyone in immediate contact with China (riben, hanguo, yuenan) has older forms. Equivalent to how the Russian for China and Chinese -kitai/kitaiskii - reflects an empire which hasn't existed for over a thousand years.

video interview 2 done, no thanks to fuckin' Teams deciding that now was a great time to choke up. Hopefully I can troubleshoot Teams later and after video interview 3 I can fill my day with nothing but thoughts about D&D, MAYBE picking up more Mandarin, MAYBE getting congee or a big froofy crepe.

Today's gonna be another three (thankfully remote) interview day, and more than one interview trashes me out completely, but given my luck with interviews, it's not like this hurts my chances. And anyway, I got a good cup of coffee, a tiny amount of drawing time and I got to pet a couple of dogs.

definitely a morning worth of noticing that, if there's something which supports beliefs that I'm innately flawed, different and isolated from my peers, and about to be rejected, my intrusive thoughts will grab it and REALLY run with it.
