Today was the sort of visit with my folks where I think “I don’t care if I don’t want to hurt them, might need to ask them for money at some point, and feel like they’re my only avenue to ever having a house, I need to cut contact NOW.”

apparently it's time for a small crying jag listening to Pink Floyd, it's almost like a big chunk of my day suddenly went very sideways earlier. I'm not even dragon otherkin and this one hurts.

oh yeah, Ride of the Valkyries. Which I don't associate with 1) Norse mythology, 2) Apocalypse Now, 3) the Fallschirmjaeger raid on Eben Emael, but actually 4) a Monty Python sketch in which Terry Jones, dressed as a housewife, sets off on this epic journey across London and winds up in Stonehenge.
