Hey, real talk for other autistic folks:
What's the best way to bring up to someone else that their autism is like... Triggering your own in bad ways without triggering the other autistic person's rejection sensitive dysphoria?
I'm in a bind here living with another dragon and I'm about ready to Strangle him because it'll hurt him less than sitting down and going over his bad behaviors, ironically.
@packbat @Motodrachen my two cents: someone saying that to me would be a recipe for an instant panic attack so uh, this doesn't work for everyone
@Motodrachen I tell my friends "our autisms are clashing"
@Motodrachen heck yeah comrade that's the only valid job tbh.
changeling is just... such a good word for my autism/ life progression like lol you thought you got an honors student surprise it's a queer dropout
@Motodrachen yoooooo tri cities represent
@Motodrachen one of my friends explicitly said "we need to have an awkward conversation, when are you free?" or something along those lines to me once and I feel like that is a useful tool
and figuring out what specifically is affecting you (e.g. being interrupted, motion out of the corner of your eye, whatever) also seems like a good idea
idk how to approach it without kicking RSD into high gear tho
