@chr even before Trump, the government wasn’t adequately dealing with housing issues, healthcare, long standing racial inequality, income disparity, roads, or increasing climate change issues. Under Trump, EPA, FDA and others were further stripped of power to protect Americans, climate change denial became the official take, and we saw a reversal of Queer rights. In 2020 the government mishandled a pandemic but successfully promoted police violence; the year’s not done.
@chr our only opposition party recently shot down an attempt to reduce military spending and clumsily engineered an unsuitable and possibly unelectable nominee for the upcoming election. All we are is a life support system for a huge military and our upper classes. We’re basically a third world country despite having potentially more wealth than anyone else.
