@skolli Keri:Too much 'A Perfect Circle' and gothing out.
If I just saturated you with hippie open love energy, you might straight up explode, like a charcoal briquette soaked in liquid oxygen.
"-mancy" as a suffix refers in particular to divination. Necromancy was initially specifically divination using the dead or death, although the meaning has spread since then to include any magic involving the dead or death.
A more suitable suffix to indicate general magic might be "-urgy", which means "working". ("Thaumaturgy", for instance, means "the working of miracles or spectacles".)
(This is not a subtoot, I was just inspired by a toot I saw go past.)
@Felthry @starseeker@snouts.online I've had to solder solid silver 18awg buss wires. It Sucks.
Silver plated, teflon insulated wire is the Shit though.
@Felthry I'll just be over here refuting the second law of thermodynamics.
@nonphatic Thatcher.
@clipclopboom@snouts.online Keri: Like seriously. Days long past, a child or two would get lost in the Feywilds or fall through a Wardrobe or whatever. Now there's a Queue, five starbucks, and a sign pointing to the place. The Wardrobe District got gentrified.
So, I had to go from something that lead kids astray to someone who's there to give them a cup of cocoa and listen to how fucked their parents are.
The world is Fucked when the messed up Faeries are doing the Church's job for them.
@clipclopboom@snouts.online It's because Being a Parent has consumed their lives so completely that it's become their identity.
This is the modern death spazms of someone trying to justify the massive complication they've introduced into their lives.
*Hugs* Don't forget, you might end up being the witch woman that kid runs off to in their Teens because their mom's drinking all the time and they just need somewhere quiet to do their homework.
Keri: It's already happening to me.
Southern Mass's local machine healer and part time witchdoctor.
Tiny motorcycles, magic potions, machine tools, progressive rock, trance states, and hand sharpened drill bits. Oh, and I read Tarot. Probably 18+ just to be sure.
