re: plural stuff, trauma, dissociation
@azushark Plurality usually comes about because a brain is autistic and can't exist in narrowly defined types or genres (Or genders) and feels the need for multiple contexts for expression.

@maxine Yaori: for multisystem people, learning to love your headmates is the only path towards self love and self respect that works sometimes.
For example, so many of the folks on here are Pokemon that our Alter, Yaori, wears a Goodra form as shorthand for herself inside the system.
...Never even played any of the games after Yellow.
I feel like Furry is a big experiment in Culture just for Autistic people.
And I mean that in a Great, fantastic way. All the rest of our mainstream culture has always been by, and For, allistic people.
Now, we have culture that transmits and receives on the autistic perception spectrum. We have a culture of celebrated masks, of alter-selves, of Desired Presentations. And because we're all 'in' on the joke, disbelief isn't just Easy to suspend, it's Natural to do so.
re: plural thoughts
@Felthry Tohri: I go thru this a lot. My Form and mood and general Feel of my aura is Super variable, but I'm always Me. Like my playlist on Spotify has the most conflicted, weird Theme overall.
Don't be surprised if you folks are so comfortable you'll be existing with a matched Ego and Id, one of them will switch and everything will feel weird for a bit. For me and Keri it'll be a Gender Swap feeling, where she's the male one.

Pretty easy. If you're Trans, abused, autistic, and your psych thinks you're bipolar/BPD/ADHD, those are all huge signs.
If you engage in cycles of 'Bad' behavior that you Want to do, and then periods of Extreme remorse and confusion as to why you said or did what you did.
Large lapses into disassociated states.
Substance abuse or other addictive behaviors that 'come and Go' or binge spending, eating, drinking, etc.
Extreme self criticism. Gender dysphoria associated with certain circumstances but not others.
Extreme emotional outbursts out of Nowhere, about a Specific idea or trauma, that dissipate almost instantly.
Insistence on being Normal or invisable or otherwise inconspicuous or Not Too Loud, but Wanting flamboyance at the same time and feeling Denied...
Like there's a Lotta little signs. Usually it's a formative trauma involving Doublethink in a young autistic person's brain. Like having to Decide between growing up to be a Man or a Woman.

@fluxom_alt @sunsetmoth You should probably talk to @budgiebin@snouts.online and @SeddyOchs@yiff.life about these experiences too, because this is all sounding Decidely familliar.
