@lemememeringue If you're having these problems with all-or-nothing self esteem, it's the Root of this issue.
And it's more of a Memetic Condition than a Genetic one. It can be passed on thru trauma. I just had to dig out a bunch of bad personality traits out of a Long Dormant alter, who'd been made to feel so shit about what he is that he crawled into a Hole 20 years ago and tried to Die.
Gender, plurality
One of the issues with my Upbringing is that it left a part of me feeling decidedly transmasculine.
But in a 'I never wanted This' kinda way. Roshael is so much happier on HRT, He's Hypermasculine, sure...
But he started out wanting to be a Girl, and had that notion thoroughly squashed by Life, and hormonal profiles.
So now I've woke up part of me, got his trauma addressed, got his self-confidence back. This is Good.
The fact that he's something like Dragon Rasputin and Duke Nukem at the same time is a challenge however.

I.E., Shire US inc. makes Adderall. A Dextroamphetamine. That's Legal because the federal government says it is.
Freelance labs making drugs are Illegal because the federal government says so.
It's all arbitrary.
