@Felthry https://onyxmotorbikes.com/ Forgot about these guys.
They're Legit mopedheads who are making new frames that can take a Puch E50 Pattern engine, or an electric one. I'm stoked, but poor. ;_;
@Felthry Never made them here, and in Japan... Well, in JAPAN they got a bunch of 80cc bikes with 6 speed transmissions and real frames and stuff, and they're just Superior machines.
Same with Europe, they moved on to legal status for 50-100cc light motorcycles, and I think Hero Puch in India might still make their Turbo Sport model.
Short answer: Capitalism.
@Felthry Only two remaining manufacturers are in Europe, and you can't get them imported, really.
There's still Thousands of them in Europe, and some of those bikes are Unicorns we never got over here in the 70s.
@Felthry Mopeds are usually made before 1985, and they're an Underbones style, have Pedals from the factory, and are under 50cc, and obey some other state laws.
Scooters are upright, with a floor/deck, smaller, fatter wheels and most now are 4 stroke powered. Still usually under 50cc.
Motorcycles are manual transmission bikes, over 50cc, and require insurance, title, and special licensing.
@Felthry Bicycle Motocross, they're the smaller bikes with taller bars for doing tricks and stuff with.
Most mopeds are a little smaller than a Mountain Bike in terms of frame, usually. Hobbits are on the Smaller size, and this is essentially a bootleg Batavus HS-50: (Except it's Japaneese, not Dutch, and actually Works)
@Felthry Mopeds are more like BMX bikes with motors, Scooters have the tiny wheels and you sit on them like a Toilet.
@Felthry Antique moped. But yes, now it's more like a tiny motorcycle
Honda PA-50 I refit, rebuild, restomod, and full conversion progress pics.
She's finally done, and the Top(Tank) surgery was completed today, only 4 days after the Owner's top surgery was done.
The other major piece of Wizardry is that Third photo: Modern rear variator to replace the restricted stock transmission.
Needs it, the engine has been Monstered out too.
re: mh/life stuff
@Rybark@snouts.online We should compare notes sometime, I've been overloaded just Being the unofficial furry councilor on all things Weird.
...That and I could catch you up on a Ton of multiple systems and Plural stuff that Works, and a bunch of the stuff I've found on treating Autism and Gender Dysphoria.
That and my alter Yaori wants to talk to you about her neo-freudian model of the autistic brain, because you've actually had training and she's like Tesla in here poking at the fabric of reality.
re: selfie, eye contact, fursona
@internetwolf @pupy@chitter.xyz I keep telling @budgiebin@snouts.online that her superpower is being able to draw people's characters from her third eye.
Which is why nobody ever has any critique, they just gasp and go 'It Me!'
re: neuroderversity (~), kinda shitposty
@maxine "Hey, I do all those things too, but I'm Not Autistic!!!" >:|
Yeah, uh, big mood with family saying "You're not autistic, you're just Quirky"
@kelseyhusky Shhhh, that's Phase 3
@kelseyhusky With a furry con in full swing at the same time.
re: recent MIT Media Lab news
@sutter@snouts.online I had this revelation while working at Lockheed Martin on an antenna for an Ohio Class Submarine's encoded satellite receiver and realized that if the system I was working on building ever fulfilled it's intended purpose, it meant the End Of The World.
I was escorted from that job by security after the 2016 Election and it was one of the brightest moments of my life.
If I was a Billionaire I'd buy an abandoned Mall and turn it into a Castle full of Artisans and craftspeople and magically inclined people and have an entire product line of Castle Forged Products.
And then revive the food court, to make and sell cottage and peasant foods from around the world.
My biggest judgement of Jeff Bezos is that he's a Talentless Hack and has no creativity.

Tiny motorcycles, magic potions, machine tools, progressive rock, trance states, and hand sharpened drill bits. Oh, and I read Tarot. Probably 18+ just to be sure.
