My job can either involve huge amounts of math and number crunching and programming and deep machine lore, or it can be a whole day where I press a button and stand around for ten minutes at a time.

CNC machining is a bunch of Wizards in a workshop using complicated magic boxes to turn big pieces of metal into smaller, complicated pieces of metal.
