Housemate needed for June 1st, greater Seattle area (boost OK)
Hi, folks. @Leucrotta and I are looking for someone to take over a vacant bedroom in our 3BR/2BA apartment. We live in Shoreline, a bit north of the Seattle city limit.
Rent would be $736/month, water/sewer/garbage ~33/month. Electric heat & air conditioning.
We might be able to supply it furnished, if you need that.
If interested, send me a direct message.
Introversion, COVID mention
Just a reminder that our global circumstances are, counterintuitively, probably rougher on introverts than extroverts.
We haven't been getting the truly private time we need to recharge because our families and roommates are always home. Nor are we getting the structured social time that we do want. If we're working remotely, our calendars may have been filled with Zoom meetings that are even more exhausting than the in-person ones they replaced.
Please check in on your introverted family and friends. They probably feel very, very tired.
sometimes i think about all those people who genuinely believe that being biologically male or female affects things like your emotional depth or ability to moderate your emotional reactions
and then i think about how when Rationalism hit Europe there was an abrupt 180 from "women are unfit for leadership because they are Cold and Incapable of being Sufficiently Passionate" to "women are unfit for leadership because they are Emotional and Incapable of being Sufficiently Rational"
Gender, phys, HRT.
Estrogen has had some unusual side effects.
For one thing is's an Unfair performance enhancer in the machine shop.
For another, I'm gaining Muscle Mass like never before in my life. I feel Bionic when I'm not Exhausted.
This has resulted in a Strange Gender Nexus. Estrogen does all that and a bag of chips like Usual, but also gives me major bonuses to my favorite 'Male' attributes. So much so that it's swung the needle back towards Masculinity overall.
If I'd known all this out ahead of time I'd have started HRT first thing. I went to my ass to get to my elbow, genderwise, and ended up damn close to where I started.

Tiny motorcycles, magic potions, machine tools, progressive rock, trance states, and hand sharpened drill bits. Oh, and I read Tarot. Probably 18+ just to be sure.
