AND YET here I am with a fidget cube (in a beautiful berry colour scheme yeaaa) and the button face has three clicky buttons that feel and sound similar but DON'T evoke that uncomfortable feeling. It's really nice. But I also love the "squishy" buttons too

so here's a thing

I grew up with a Spectrum 128K+2.

Kemptson interface joysticks were a regular thing and I used to hate and love them both at the same time.

I hated how stiff and hard they were but I loved the arcade appearance of them and their buttons.
I also both loved and hated the microswitches, because I loved the clicking sound and they were SUPER responsive and sturdy but they always make me feel uncomfortable

I dunno why.

I just get this...knot in my stomach?? thinking about them?
