I finished fixing all the code that was calling the SearchDialogDefinition function last night, so ... now I have to go back through each dialog box call, and check the surrounding code for any of the old functions I just replaced, and repoint them properly...

Does anybody know of a better free hex editor? I mostly want something stable and easily usable, but also preferably with support for displaying contents using a replacement table (Translhextion calls this feature "Thingy table view", after an old DOS editor called Thingy).
Also, I'm on Windows most of the time, so something that runs on Windows is preferable.

I've been using a hex editor from 2001 (Translhextion 1.6c) for most binary viewing/editing. It's the least buggy/annoying free hex editor I've found for Windows, but it still has some dumb bugs (like moderately small filesize limits, random crash bugs, etc).

I don't have medical insurance or a doctor who can write a letter or fill out forms for me, so ... because they don't require that anymore... I can actually get an ID with my new name, and with "Female" for my gender...

I just filled out / printed my paperwork for getting my name legally changed...
and then I went on the DMV's web site, because I heard there was a form you could fill out for changing your gender marker on your ID, and
"-- DMV: Gender Change --
Your driver's license or ID card will indicate the gender you choose on the application. Medical certification of a gender change is not necessary."
... I literally started crying when I realized what that meant...
Spending an evening talking with friends and sketching a golf course map that you're planning on sculpting in a course designer later is a pretty good time... =w= 💖

Here's a neat tidbit we found last night:
Each course in Danny Sullivan's Indy Heat (Arcade) has artist credits somewhere on it! Most of these are signed by "SH" (Steve High, credited for Software & Graphics), but a few have other initials on them, including one course which has a completely different style and signature.
