masto ui gripe
Why does the "hide toot" arrow wobble and spin for almost a second after you click it. It is a toggle, not an analog dial.
Don't make UI elements wriggle and move unless it feels natural for them to (like a loading indicator) and when they do move, minimize their movement. Overly flashy animation does not feel natural or necessary at all.
i'm bored and tired and can't focus at work today so. by popular(?) demand here is a userscript for masto that makes timelines not jump around on you if the mouse cursor is on it

re: ~
I'd rather they reached out to me, if it was still okay if I followed them. Even if that never happens...
I've learned that it's okay if you aren't friends with everybody, even if you wish you could be.
~
There are some people who I followed at some point, who have either moved onto new accounts or softblocked me so I wasn't following them.
Every time I see them mentioned in my home timeline, I think about refollowing or seeing if I'm still blocked, but then I realize it probably isn't worth the effort...

geocities.co.jp, the last living Geocities service, shuts down in 2020. Here's the timeline, as I understand it:
* March, 2019 - The ability to update existing pages and to create new pages ends.
* September 30, 2019 - All pages are taken offline. Site owners retain the ability to use FTP to download their site contents.
* March 31, 2000 - FTP access for downloading site contents is removed, and all data is deleted.

reevaluate knowledge that seems obvious to you. make sure you have a really good grasp on why you're so certain of the things you're certain of. never stop asking questions. don't be afraid to ask the same question twice if you've forgotten the answer. and for fucksake, don't state opinions as facts
Poly trans cuddlefloof programmer and gamedev(?). I love poking around in and reverse engineering old games. I'm also super shy and have horrible anxiety, so ... please be nice...
I don't mind if you follow request, but if I don't know or recognize you, please send me a message so I know who you are. #nobot
