It's always a jarring experience to go into downtown Seattle. A dimension separate from everything around it. I could be in any city and the chaos is always the same. Skittering at rhe feet of skyscrapers that are the belittling hallmark of industry.
The main exception is the rustic and intimate Pike Place Market. Which feels more like Diagon Alley than the sense of cold, dystopian foreboding that's seen in the rest of Downtown.
@Roady_Dragonfae you know that nearly went away right? They were gonna destroy the market for Progress!!!1! in the 70s and there was an activism campaign that saved it. I can’t imagine Seattle working like that now.
