yes, using they/them to refer to someone who uses neopronouns is misgendering. not sure why this continues to be a take that i have to express.

@girl We default to they/them for people whose pronouns we don't know, or have forgotten. I hope we haven't ever accidentally offended by doing so, and apologize if we have. I don't think we've spoken much, though.

@maloki @girl I'm not sure to whom you're directing this; are you saying it's not always the situation that it's appropriate to default to they/them, or that it's not always the situation that it's possible to check people's bios?

@Rosemary @maloki check the bio first, and if you cant find pronouns, and there isnt any context, THEN default to they/them
