@Felthry And now that I'm thinking about this, I'll continue it:
Argon: (isn't there a type of lightbulb that's filled with argon?)
Potassium: Sodium-free salt
Calcium: Chalk, like you said
Scandium: ???
Titanium: Probably some expensive pen or jewelry
Vanadium: ??
Chromium: Stainless steel silverware
Manganese: Manganese dioxide from a battery
Iron: Paperclip
Cobalt: Wasn't there a cobalt-based audiotape formulation?
Nickel: Most coinage contains nickel, iirc
Copper: wire
Zinc: galvanized nail
@Felthry You skipped magnesium (calcium comes after potassium, not sodium), which you could get from sparklers or those fancy magnesium-alloy car wheels.
Bleach would be good for chlorine as well, as you were trying to fit into the 500 character limit earlier.
@Terrana@tootplanet.space @Felthry Non-low-sulfur diesel fuel, maybe?
@vahnj Should I do that, or should the instance admin do so?
@Edelwood I have a veritable abundance of fluff!
@daggertooth@monsterpit.net @Felthry What did I do to cause this?
@Felthry, let me take over for a while. You're getting too stressed to function.
@lizardsquid Good morning, Avery.
@Terrana@tootplanet.space For the numbers, I'm not really sure, but Felthry guesses it might be related to the digits being quicker to scan at a glance, while the full spelling is the standard way you're supposed to do things. I can see a couple problems with that guess, but I can't think of any better one.
@Terrana@tootplanet.space There's actually a phenomenon called a legal doublet, where the standard way to refer to something in legal context is to use two synonyms, one of Germanic origin and one of Romance origin (the historical reasoning behind this, I think, is obvious). Phrases like "cease and desist", "aid and abet", "null and void", and a number of others you could find on wikipedia.
That doesn't explain the number thing, though.
Headmate to @Felthry, still figuring out how things are after a long absence.

Pronouns... zhe/zhir for now, but that might change in future.
