Character design thoughts

@Felthry has a character named Aditi, and I had some thoughts on an outline for his brother. I'd love to see it expand this into a full character, if it wants to!

Name undecided -- Darius?

Aditi's older brother
Transmasculine nonbinary, he/him pronouns and masc presentation
Doesn't bind; actually likes his bust
Taur
Moderately well off, but not rich
Occupation-- Woodworker? Probably has a machine shop
Interested in spellcraft, but as a hobby not a career
Estranged from most of the family, but very close with Aditi
The Cool Uncle kind of guy--are there any kids he's a Cool Uncle to?

re: What search algorithm did the biblical wise men use to locate the baby Jesus?

@monorail A* is a pathfinding algorithm, not a search algorithm. It requires knowing where the destination is already.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online they call that wood "saguaro rib", I believe.

I wonder how a store that sells anti-theft tags prevents theft?

What development weirdness resulted in chargin' chucks being considered powerups by super mario world's code?

Most everything can be cute if you're willing to actually look.

People think bats are scary, but then if you look at bats they're actually really cute. People are afraid of snakes, but just look at the silly face of a hognose and you can't find that frightening! Rats may be scary if one runs across the floor in what you had thought was a rodent-free house, but if you actually meet one they're really smart and friendly.

Take the time to get to know an animal, and you'll find them worth knowing.

Goodnight, everyone. May you dream of wonders.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online I should get back to playing strategy games...

What is it exactly that makes sodium ion batteries so difficult? Is it just the relative size of the sodium ion being much bigger than lithium ions?

@daylight I'm guessing you don't mean a deer who just explodes into a bunch of deer parts if you pull their tail off.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online Oh dear, that sounds unpleasant and I'm made of fire!

@cozykaffe@snouts.online we can't really stand much over 25 either, but it regularly gets over 30 here, sometimes even 35.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online 15 degrees counts as summer? You must live pretty far north, because over here it's not summer until it's passed 30.

Just saw a fascinating idea: countersink holes into wood or plastic by using a dremel to cut a notch into a screw head of the same type that you're going to use in the hole to make a cutting surface, and using a screwdriver drill bit, use the modified screw as a drill bit to make the countersink.
