What do people do about seasonal affective disorder? Can you take meds?

@Fuego Been dealing with this since about the late 90s. I can offer some tips when fully awake here

@Fuego Okay, so the best thing I've found is doing a lot of things:
1) Dawn/Dusk simulator w/ full spectrum bulbs (I use sunriseclocks.org/sunrizr-and- but I guess they're no longer being made)
2) Full-spectrum all the lights you have
3) Lightbox, brighter than god
4) Hugeass quantities of vitamin D (at least double the recommended dose, it's actually stupid low)
5) Wellbutrin for the winter
6) Never have the blinds down when there's daylight light outside and you're near a window

@Soreth the only thing on there I haven’t tried is wellbutrin. I have had the sunrizr for like 10 years. Will ask about Wellbutrin.

@Fuego I am seriously worried about my sunrizr burning out, there's nothing else like it out there anymore. :/

I've got a lot of nordic blood and live in Seattle, so the SAD is very real. Though mercifully, it seems to have diminished somewhat with HRT these days...

Good luck, I hope you make it smoothly. ^^
