Last night at my volunteer job, I met a rail (a kind of sea bird), hand-fed some Mockingbirds, and introduced myself to a whole litter of baby opossums!

Rails are very pretty. He had a whole apartment to himself in our aviary.

(The aviaries are the last place the birds hang out before they're well enough to be released back into the wild)

In lieu of a picture of the little of opossums (we're not allowed to take pictures at work), here's a photo of a single baby opo my center got in a year ago:
