Getting the "oh why don't you just grow out your hairrrr?" talk from my family again.
Me: "Queer visibility is important."
Dad: "Do you have to be... *so*... visible?"
It's just like *big eyeroll*. We've been having this discussion for, like, eight years. They're mostly supportive, just still so weirdly uncomfortable with my queerness.

Eek, that's a Big Thing. I wish you all of the luck, resilience, and warmth to get through that interaction.
I'm in a weird place where I'm more "out" with some of my extended family than my immediate. My parents think I'm a lesbian, but a few cousins and my gay uncle know I'm nonbinary.
