I'm doing alright! It's been a weird up and down week for me, but today's looking pretty nice. I'm doing some laundry now and later I'm playing badminton with a pal. :3

I think I've heard of it, but alas I'm in the SF Bay area. There's lots of similarly body pos dance places around here tho. :3

It's actually slightly less about upper body strength and more about core. And I can attest as someone who is building both from a super low level, there's a lot of moves you can do using leverage that don't take as much strength. I'd suggest checking it out, it's worth a try. :)

Hah! I think circus arts are fantastic! Honestly your life sounds like Goals to me (although I'd ideally do more lyra/aerial/dance performance, plus musical theatre, rather than clowning. But clowning is still cool!).

Hi! So, since Oct I've been doing the Couch to 5k running plan, with some body weight exercises between run days.

Running is a bit boring tho (imo) and I've been wanting to get back into dance. I found a pole dance studio I liked back in Nov, and I've since gone to 3 pole classes and 1 aerial yoga class there.

Last week I signed up at the YMCA near me, and I'm now using the machines for strength, plus elliptical and zumba classes. I want to do more dance soon.

My abs are in such pain that it hurt to sneeze and laugh today. So I think I'm doing the exercise thing right.

This is absolutely (and frustratingly) true. At least silly things like muscles also tend to be the simpler things... Emotional/intellectual growth is painful in different (more complex) ways.

They're hard! I'll keep doing the countertop-level ones, though, until I get a bit stronger and can try doing them on the floor.
