Artist ramble, talking about others, a lil -

I know it's great posting large resolutions but honestly you DON'T need to post something that is 3000x4200 >_>

Most screens can't display that well :|

@DarkOverord I'm extremely guilty of this, whoops

@Thaminga In the end it's artist preference, but most people don't have 4k displays >.>;

This to be fair, is only really an issue on FA where it doesn't scale down a preview like EVERY OTHER SITE.

re: Artist ramble, talking about others, a lil -

@DarkOverord @Thaminga Remember when FA *used* to actually show at a small size by default? Now it... doesn't? It's so weird that they would undo that.

There's probably a setting to turn it off, but for those without an account, it's weird that "full view" is the default now.

re: Artist ramble, talking about others, a lil -

@Taylor @Thaminga The problem (for standard FA, I and likely a lot of users don't use the beta) is the thumbnail view is *tiny* now. It made sense back in the pre-highspeed broadband days.

Whereas deviantART, Weasyl, SoFurry etc. will show a scaled preview to match your window and UI, with a click-through to show the full size which is def a better way of handling it.
