So I can't figure out if this is part of my own partial faceblindness or if it's a thing other people have - do you ever find that there are a whole lot of flat, cold, challenging stares in ads with male models?

Like, they're even attractive people, they just seem to have been instructed to go past "eye contact" and "brooding stare", and verge towards "I am going to axe-murder you"

@Soreth I dunno about stares in adverts (mostly because I try to avoid giving them long-lasting head space), but there always seems something wrong about white news reporters in stills or gifs from US news.

Or it could be a subconscious bias because they're all conservatives so they come of as dim-witted/malicious.
