AI Dungeon copypaste, AI tomfoolery, dragons

You are Taylor, a knight living in the kingdom of Larion. You have a steel longsword and a wooden shield. You are on a quest to defeat the evil dragon of Larion. You've heard he lives up at the north of the kingdom. You set on the path to defeat him and walk into a dark forest. As you enter the forest you see a large dragon and he looks at you with rage. "Who are you?" he roars. "I'm a knight of the kingdom of Larion."

You say "You're a knight? I thought you were a dragon."
"No, I'm a knight, but you're a dragon."
"I'm a dragon, not a knight.

You say "I think we're getting things confused, but I'm all for being the dragon if you want."
"Will you join me in destroying the kingdoms of man?"
"Sure why not? I haven't destroyed a kingdom yet.

AI Dungeon getting subject and speaker mixed up is usually frustrating but this one's kinda great.

@Oneironott Yeah either disable your adblocker on Mastodon or update your filter lists~.

Oh, duh, *that's* what's causing problems with loading toots in Awoo - the filter rule in ublock. Purged cache and updated the filter lists and it seems fine now.

@Oneironott Wolf Children was very strong for me about that.
So I'm going to have to watch this too I think... or pirate it since digital licensing is always a paiiiin.

The PS3 version would be the most accessible version as I have it, I would just need to set up emulation on my PC.

... oh wait, though, hm. The PS3 disc is a blu-ray, and getting PCs to read blu-rays is notoriously a pain. Moreover, my new PC doesn't have a disc-drive, I'm pretty sure my external USB drive is DVD-RW only.

I suspect in terms of modding, the PC version would be the most open.

I really do wonder who I would ask about making a mod or cheat for Okami - any version - that makes the first-person camera toggle-able and doesn't lock movement/other actions when its active.

When playing the PS3 version I found you can enter first-person in battle, and even switch when you're still drifting in motion or attacking, just not do anything else until switching back. So I think such a mod should be possible, as the functionality seems mostly there, just disabled.

health, nzpol+

I had a mysterious cold yesterday. A whole lot of blockages and drippages and all that. And then I was sick with aches at 5am of all things. Feeling mostly better now.

BUT HEY ABOUT MY ELECTION RESULTS~ \ o/

... you ever think about how in fighting games the themes for characters are for when you're fighting them, not playing as them?

Even if the themes themselves are heroic, they still serve as when the characters are in a position of rivalry or antagonism towards your current perspective.

@kistaro There's definitely times where the fun element of design - kids stuff or not - has been beaten out of everything for the sake of efficiency.

Even UIs were fun and varied, like in kids Flash games.

@kistaro ... this would only be a valid term if all our mobile devices looked like they were designed by 90s kids toys designers.

You know, the ones that look like someone sneezed them out.

... idly reminded I got an email from IMVU a few days ago, seemingly of a registration confirmation. There was an "I've never heard of IMVU" link in the email, which, not accurate, but did seem to negate the account.

I find myself wondering though if it was an automated account generation because of my FA account, though.

... oh wait no it can'tve been, I use a throwaway on there. Hm.

@IceWolf Idly amused by this post because "actor" and "god" are synonymous in one of my projects/stories.

Also agreed on them being subcategories anyway.

re: furry, light

@Oneironott Same hat though... I get that people do like, do character design as a career, but at the same time I'm more likely to be inspired by people's art and characters and make my own thing...

re: nerding about fiction, squeak

@Goldkin I guess this is the ultimate direction I want to take my concept ~/shell.
I've got a lot of worldbuilding to this transhumanist inflatables setting, but I've always wanted to live in it rather than think up some sort of story to it.
So some more mundane slice-of-life thing is always an option, but, dramaaaaa...

@kistaro I have absolutely wondered before about how updates might work in the future with cyborgs and uploaded minds. Got to make sure those things interface nicely with the mind.
... and then there's hardware upgrades too...

re: tf thoughts

@Oneironott Mood, to both interpretations of this post.
