fucked up how living on Earth we kinda presume our planet to be the default as far as habitable worlds go when probably most of them are tidally locked in some way or another, and tons are significantly bigger/smaller than Earth, in more eccentric orbits and/or have way different axial tilts and way more/less water coverage

It's only special to us because it's where we happened and are, and that doesnt really make it special at all, just a perspective bias.

@Eon seriously! there's billions upon billions of other planets in the universe, of which there ought to be plenty that are sufficiently similar enough to earth on the surface that life akin to ourselves could evolve there - and that's before even getting into possible alternate biochemistries that frankly, we currently know little to nothing useful about
