Unless that exit poll proves to be a complete joke, I have to wonder if there isn't some kind of conspiracy going on to install far right leaders across the West.
People can't seriously be -this- self-defeatingly evil.

@Thaminga I'm becoming more and more convinced that people just really, really love evil.
Like, a majority of people want to see pain and suffering, even if they get some of it too.
People just love to hate, full stop. That's our world now.

@Thaminga maybe both. Also consider that exit polls can be biased, and release of information can be intentionally intended to demoralize opposition; even if the actual results differ, the damage to morale has been done. So... take it with several grains of the big kosher rock salt, y’know?

Prone to weaponized misinformation... yes.
Angry and wanting to place blame on someone or something... yes.
Add those things together and throw a lot of money at it... and you've got modern politics.
