Ah yes, I love how the one time I plan to go visit friends abroad for the first time in 4 fucking years an epidemic breaks out and I have to face the possibility of everything getting canceled at the last moment, making the whole fucking thing a waste of time

It is also causing many more hospitalizations, to the point where some countries' hospital systems are so overwhelmed that they are unable to treat everyone that needs it, meaning that the untreated die. @Thaminga A second problem is that there are reports of the virus affecting people who are young and healthy as well as those who are old or infirm, albeit at a lesser rate. Unfortunately, we just don't have enough data to say why or how frequently.
