LB: seriously though in a future where you can be just about anything you can imagine being, why -would- you ever stay a boring old human being

like at least get some augments or something smh

@Thaminga the only reason I can think of, and it’s relating it to cars.

heresy speak

@Thaminga simply put, some people would prefer their factory bone stock car as it was meant to be. They’d rather keep to what’s original or damn well close to it.

Where as you’ll also have those who would want to modify the same car for their own needs, modernizing it to today’s standards.
Drifting, rally, sport, drag or hell just for looks with the ultimate “street” car that car culture in Japan exhibits. even full on electric.

Anywho that’s my two cents, all choices are good.

@ochoma That's still different though, if you ask me; a car is still a product of a concerted effort at engineering, the human body is just evolution throwing things at a wall for a few billion years, a few million if you only count the time when humans actually started being a thing.

I mean, I can see why some people would remain their natural selves in the context -of- other people going radically different ways, but -everyone-?

heresy speak

@Thaminga yeah exactly what I’m getting at with my late night thonking, I’m just putting it in the aspect of why -some- might choose to stay that way, but not all of its race entirely. You’ll always have that small percentage of -purists- out there.
