@Felthry You may be thinking of the Roland Juno series of synthesizers, though; those -did- have digital oscillators with an analog filter - hugely popular for much of the '80s, as well as the early '90s if you include the Alpha Juno that had more options on the oscillator.

@Kyresti ... I feel this. Like, I've been an outright victim of the very dynamic you're describing here (seriously, even a little bit of communication could've saved like several friendships at once there and saved -me- from a mental breakdown only 24 hours ago), but at the same time this very much sounds like swinging way hard into the other direction and demanding people open up their lives even to people who *are* genuinely abusive.
