Experimented with cocktails and made a Madame Jeanette-infused screwdriver. Had to add a little sugar (the orange I used wasn't particularly sweet and the pepper delivered more heat after a scant 15 minutes of steeping than I anticipated) and a little sparkling water to top it off, but otherwise? Honestly, this is good as fuck. It doesn't actually taste like an ordinary screwdriver at all, the pepper's flavor overshadows the orange juice by a good amount, though not completely either - it's still there, just playing second violin.

Mastodon privacy PSA: locked posts and locked accounts (173 words plus image descriptions)
I have seen this catch out more than one person, so here's how it works:
- The "follower-only" on 🔒 posts means *everyone who follows you*, not (per "Friends-only" on Livejournal) everyone *you* follow. Any rando who follows you can see all your private posts going forward.
- If you want to restrict who can see your follower-only posts in a vanilla Mastodon instance, right now the only available tool is restricting who can follow you, period:
+ In the "Edit profile" settings screen, there is a "Lock account" checkbox (see image one). If you tick that, whenever someone tries to follow you, instead of immediately following, they will show up in the "👥 Follow requests" column linked from the "Getting started" column. (You can also get email notifications - see image two.)
+ If you block someone, they will not be allowed to follow you and be removed from your list of followers. You can also soft-block someone - block and immediately unblock - to remove them from your followers without permanently blocking them.

THIS is what I wanted to share the other week - ESO (European Southern Observatory) picture of the week! Wonderful discovery about one of the largest (if not the largest) star in the galaxy coming apart.
