I wonder if in five years we'll think about today's video games (or some of today's rendering technologies) as having a distinct look like we do today about old computers and console games

Pretty sure people have been doing that for video games for a long time... why stop now?

I would think the same applies to music or movies or stage-plays as well.

@ThatDamnCat more talking about technology than style here… today's games and other computer art is less defined by its limitations, I'd say.
