I am now eating grits with sugar and butter, so I'm a *terrible* southerner.

@Veladynee Basically like any other breakfast cereal at that point. But you can pour it out into sheets with herbs and stuff like sundried tomatos and basically make polenta cake and fry it and that's pretty good imho. Which again sounds like, bad southerner though possibly a good New Yorker.

@Leucrotta Huh, I might have to give grits another try at some point, then. They were always distinctly unpleasant when I've had them but I might try making them at home and use sugar and butter in it.

Also that mix with herbs and such sounds kinda tasty. ^^

@Veladynee I used to *hate* grits until I went to school in Michigan, which you don't really think of as a big grits place. I guess memories of a hospital plus hospital food can seriously dick up your perception of anything really.
