@Leucrotta Wait.... the break room is used for meetings? Wat.
@Leucrotta Ah... Fixed break times. I never had those so I can see how that'd be an uncomfortable issue there with the spaces being occupied.
Seems like a very rigid job. :(
@Veladynee and I have to use the time clock, I have to be here 8-5, I have to line up my desk coverage if I’m out for part of the day, I can’t draw on shift, I’m not allowed to have my phone out openly, the Internet has blockers which keep me from just browsing anything, because I have to field all calls I can’t have earbuds in, etc etc
I was desperate for anything when I took this, and I thought it’d be a better job, but it was still a mistake.
@Leucrotta Ick... I'm sorry to hear that. :/
Any luck with applying elsewhere or hunting?
@Veladynee eh, some interviews but nothing came through; I think I need to study a little more about doing interviews.
@Leucrotta I'd give advice but I am awful at interviews myself >< But I've also only ever had like 5 jobs in my entire life.
What skills do you have and what are you looking for? Maybe I can help in some way
@Veladynee we’re a small company so we have one break room that gets coopted for any social thing or meetings. Like a lot of stuff here, nobody gives me a heads up on that happening. My breaks are practically at a fixed time, and they are literally the only time I can be away from my desk for any time, so with meetings, like with loudass coworkers I’d rather avoid in the break room, I can’t just go eh, okay, I’ll come back in 15.
