So far I think there's gonna be a tinier LCD-type screen on the outside for stuff like caller ID messages (so you can see them without opening the thing up) and maybe the general rgb light that phones have, but that's not super exciting
Signal strength and battery life indicators too maybe?

I've embarked on another silly project: Turning a raspberry pi and 4G communication chip into a smartphone.
I've decided on a casing shaped kind of like the folding versions of star trek tricorders, with a screen and physical keyboard on the inner surfaces. It'll be hilariously big, basically a tiny laptop.
What kinds of buttons and switches and indicator lights and stuff would be useful on an absurd phone?? I need to add lots of controls and indicators to make it look all blinky and spacey...
