Okay, I think my computer may be dead

I can't directly upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 because the upgrader won't work because reasons. So, in order to upgrade I basically need to reinstall from scratch. So, currently backing up what I can...

Oh, and this is because I uninstalled my GPU driver with the intent to roll back to an earlier driver... but apparently there are no drivers for Windows 8.1 that support the GTX 1650 Super. And yet it somehow worked fine when I installed it O.o?

Okay, still not working. At this point I'm giving up for the night. Tomorrow I'll back up what files I can, and just do a fresh installation.

More to the point, the install DVD is copying most of its contents to C:/ drive, but is failing to copy a 3.7 gigabyte folder which presumably is the actual installation archive -.-

[insert angry swearing here]

Windows 10 installation kept failing because the media creator included a file with the wrong extension -.-

Also, whatever tool that Windows 8.1 uses for burning DVDs is sucky, just takes infinite time to erase a disk. Currently booted up on my Linux drive to use Brasero, which just works.
