TIL that vitamin C deficiency (which I seem to have) impedes weight loss. Basically it seems to cause fat to be released less readily.

@PsyChuan Well, I suspected it at first. Then, I reviewed the foods I was eating on the calorie spreadsheet I've been using for weight loss, and most of the foods I've been eating have little or no vitamin C.

@goaty The instance I'm on uses glitch, though doesn't seem to have markdown enabled. The previous instance I was on, vulpine.club, uses its own fork of glitchsoc called glitchfox, and has markdown enabled.

@goaty Instances that use the glitchsoc fork of mastodon can use markdown for text formatting.
