@chimerror I wish I could do that! Either that or through my computer screen.

@kat swoops in and does a somersault in the air, then hovers in front of you while gently petting you atop your nose~

@PsyChuan The worst food is american food. Its loaded up with lots of fat, salt, and sugar.

Only in video games will you get chased around by a giant demonic carrot in a dress

@Gulfie Yeah. Also reminds me of some old "work from home" scams, where you were getting paid to just mail stuff on behalf of other people, and this was really a thing crime orgs were doing to hide their tracks and create a scapegoat.

I can quite easily imagine HoneyGain clients using my connection to look up illegal stuff that would get me in trouble. Plus, I'm quite sure this kind of thing violates the TOS for most internet service providers and would get my service disconnected.

I heard about this thing called HoneyGain, which supposedly is a thing you can make money with passively. So, I looked into it, and basically what they're doing is allowing their clients to use your internet connection as a proxy...

Um yeah, that's throwing up a bunch of massive red flag to me 😬

Okay so now MS lets you install windows 11 if you don't have a TPM 2 chip, but you have to do it manually with a clean install from ISO, and windows update won't be available to update the system, only having you able to update by doing clean installs from there on...

What the hell?
That's just such an obvious way to force people to buy new hardware when the old one would be perfectly able to still run the new versions.

re: vent, animal violence

Just noticed two additional wounds on my dog. Thankfully they are also minor

vent, animal violence

We've had problems with groundhogs in the backyard for a while now, so we've had to be careful to look for them before letting our dog outside. Although smaller than our dog, a groundhog can quite easily injure her.

Which is just what happened. I let my dog out, and a minute or two later I heard her barking aggressively, and saw that she had cornered a very big groundhog.

I was able to get her to back away from the groundhog and get her back inside. She's got two small wounds, one on the side of her head and one on her neck, both of which thankfully were not bleeding for very long.

My brother is going to be livid when he gets home. He is very emotionally attached to our dog, and more than likely will want to kill the groundhog.

Just learned there is a book entitled "Murder with Peacocks"
