@pup_hime Yeah I'll probably die if I ate grapefruit @.@

Four of my medications have interactions with grapefruit, the only one that doesn't is my allegra.

Seems like since the start of december, the amount of spam emails I'm getting has at least tripled

TIL that melatonin supplements can significantly increase cholesterol/trigliceride levels.

Yet another reason I am glad I stopped taking it o.o

Oh, and in case anyone wants to know what mods I'm using, the major ones are Thorium, Calamity, Split, and Shadows of Abbadon

Been playing Terraria, and thanks to a mod that fixes item frames and weapon displays in tModLoader, I've been making some trophy rooms to display boss trophies and their associated drops.

Just finished three rows of nine trophy rooms for almost all of the pre-hardmode bosses :3

[image spoilered due to pixelated gore on some of the displays]

re: covid, anti-vaxxers

Also, some anti-vaxxers are trying to "de-vaccinate" by putting borax in their bath water. When I told my brother this, he was immediately shocked. He periodically works janitor shifts at his job, and so he has familiarized himself with various cleaning products. Almost all of the cleaning agents that he uses (including borax) have warning labels saying not to get them on your skin.

covid, anti-vaxxers

TIL that anti-vaxxers are now eating this special "magic dirt" to protect against covid. And this dirt, which costs at least $100, is apparently peat from a bog adjacent to a landfill, and testing showed it to be contaminated with dangerous levels of lead and arsenic.

Don't laugh. This isn't funny because parents are making their children eat this "magic dirt"

Apple vs humanity, workers | CW: Threat of suicide described in source | The Verge article

theverge.com/c/22807871/apple-

"One employee, a gay man living in the South, said that when he landed a job at Apple after high school, he knew he’d stay with the company for years. “This big company that everyone talks about, I had a chance to be a part of,” he says. “I always describe it as my longest relationship.”

At first, the idea of working from home for a tech giant seemed too good to be true. But over time, he says sitting at a computer for eight to 10 hours a day started to take a mental toll. In 2021, he decided to take medical leave to cope with the stress of responding to customers in under two minutes, a requirement for his position.

As his medical bills started piling up, the employee says he and his partner ran out of money. “We had to start selling our belongings to pay bills,” he explains. “We downsized and spent most of the summer without electricity or air conditioning.”

When his paycheck arrived in May 2021, he found it was just $23, due to health insurance deductions. He couldn’t afford to pay rent. When he contacted Apple’s corporate payroll team, he said the response was, “We’ll look into it.”"

Reminder: No corporation is your friend. Especially if they make that thing you like.
