@saintajax33 I will never understand this I suppose.

@saintajax33 with some distance I suspect some of it is that I dont consider social media sites with any permanence. They exist for a while then are gone. So I dont understand the emotional investment or why I should consider others feelings when I make a limiting choice on a platform.

@saintajax33 I understand not bullying people, not being mean to people, and not antagonizing but the choice of saying "I dont want to interact with you here for my own arbitrary reasons" causing dissoance confuses me because shouldnt people have the right to make personal choices of how they associate with folks

@ZiaMacPine maybe it's a generational thing? To me, growing up, the block button meant "I wish for you to rot in hell". If I just wanted to not see anyone anymore, I'd just mute them. They'd never know, and I would never have to hear from them again.

@saintajax33 or its a symptom of there being far fewer social sites and that they have lasted longer then in years past. Muting always feels like more effort and consideration then I want to waste on people.

@ZiaMacPine yeah, I get your reasoning, like we've talked about it in the past. :) But to some folks it really hits different.
