How to migrate from one Mastodon server to another without losing followers:

1. Sign up on new server
2. On NEW server: Go to Account -> Moving FROM another account
3. Enter old account's handle
4. On OLD server: Go to Account -> Moving TO another account
5. Enter new account's handle and submit

Some people need to stop seeing Mastodon like an insurance policy or a modest lifeboat.

It’s an opportunity to rebuild the things that we loved about Twitter so much we were still willing to put up with all the things we routinely hated.

Yes, it’s more work in some ways than it used to be, but you can’t build something great if no one is willing to put in the effort.

Learning anything new can be frustrating at first. Just like life, the attitude you have will make it easier or harder.

Which is why when everything Dennis Hastert did came to light beyond the clear ethical and moral violations it everyone should have been upset.

I realize its mostly insider baseball but this nonsense with Represenative McCarthy perhaps not having the votes is funny in its own way. The guy spent years bending over backwards and having the spine of over cooked spaghetti and its clear that cowardice essentially just chummed the waters.

To be clear the Speaker of the House is an insanely powerful position.
