So I'm not getting the blue check on the birdsite even though I know it'd help with my visibility. On one hand I feel like a martyr; on the other hand, if Elon Musk hadn't made such a massive ass of himself, a blue check wouldn't feel so much like blood money.

I'm at wit's end when it comes to self-promotion ideas. I've paid for ads in the past that've done squat and social media was my last chance. I hope I can find some inroads somewhere.
