I bet you’ve heard of Galileo & Hubble, but what about Henrietta Swan Leavitt?
Leavitt changed astronomy. She figured out new ways to measure a star’s distance from Earth & her work helped determine the universe is expanding.
Her boss, Edward Pickering, published her findings UNDER HIS NAME. Later, Shapley used her findings to determine distances around the Milky Way w/o credit.
Leavitt’s work is still used today. Next time you hear about famous men in #science share her story. #HistoryRemix

@iBolt07 *hugs tight* as someone who also takes these sorts of meds I understand your worries and concerns. I have had these fears as well. Its important to remember the types of people on these shows are an extreme minority and get focus for a number of exhausting reasons

I voted! Georgians please go vote in this runoff election - it's very important. Early voting goes from 7am-7pm until Friday. There were a ton of people out here, and the sheriff patrolling the area (seemed weird). People are taking this election really seriously because it is!

@iBolt07 that is extremely fair and we all gain self awareness and and change conceptions many times in our lives at no set interval. That said I can understand some people being frustrated with choosing not to vote and pointing our how that can come off as privileged. That said the devil is in the details and I am clearly nitpicking a larger comment I can agree with.

@iBolt07 I do agree with that, and I do think people piled on a bit too hard and some of that was clearly due to their high profile.
I do think pointing out they might have unaknowledged privilege isnt unreasonable though I do agree that can quickly become a personal attack

I like Tuon as a character as she is pretty interesting. I WOULD PREFER more chapters from her perspecitve exploring the weirdos of the circus and the westlands and how they are so different from Seanchan
