Happy #BlackHistoryMonth !
Leland Melvin is the only person to have both been drafted in the NFL and been an astronaut. But, frankly, he deserves perpetual fame for his official NASA photograph.
@pendragon Yeah I always took that like the "party patrol" that existed when I was in High School as a thing to boost their arrest metrics and self justify

Sittaford Mystery
SPOILER
I honestly read the story with a very queer eye and in my view Captain Trevelyn, the murder victim, reads as a wealthy gay man unable to leave the closet but wont get a beard wife and Major Barnaby as his long standing serious relationship... which does influence the entire work and characters but still works in text.
Captain Trevelyn only has male servsnts, built an isolated mansion with satalite bungalows including one he gives to his "best friend" the major....
Sittaford Mystery
SPOILERS
The murderer never took into account Emily and her team of Himbos. Honestly a Charlie's angel style spin off series about this brilliant woman and her sexy doofus boyfriends would be fun.
Its the 1920s and here comes Emily and her three handsom boyfriends to solve problems. Every story Emily solves the puzzle while her handsom doofuses get into trouble but also help her and love her. I feel Emily would come across as a woman who owns too many labradors
Sittaford Mystery
I read an Agatha Christie in one day. It had been bad weather (snow/sleet/chill) and a mystery set in a snow storm sounded fun. This is one of Christie's stand alone mystery thrillers like Why Didnt They Ask Evans
The book cover misled a bit because after the inciting incident the snow storms stop and everyone travels easily.
Still an interesting little puzzle
The TERF game everyone is talking about
What I think is the most interesting part is all the people buying it and going out of their way on social media to then try and "explain" or "defend" their purchase when the easiest path is... not say anything.
Which, honestly, not saying anything would actually be a bigger net positive as it wouldn't feed algorithm interest
You nailed it, @ardent_handsaw:
“Gentle reminder that AI doesn’t know anything at all; it’s just mashing words together in ways that look like things it’s seen on the internet. But I guess we’re all just plowing ahead regardless! Cool.”
