@Saintajax33 You say "if we don't help each other, who will" but what exactly could you have done? tell them what they're doing is hurt themselves? how often with out them changing.
The praxis of helping others implies you know how to help or have the tools to help effectively. Just doing things without a plan or tools isn't inherently helpful and can exacerbate. Especially if the person isn't directly asking for help.

@Saintajax33 I mean... you were a teenager. You were not emotionally, physically, or intellectually equipped to actually help this person with what sounds like serious problems. That isn't your responsibility, not in a society that tends to sideline teenagers and doesn't give them the emotional training to deal with that sort of scenario.
What could you actually have done? This person had serious chemical addictions and was engaging in escalating dangerous behavior. You'd either be a) along for the ride and getting in trouble b) fumbling to find a way to help and potentially making it worse or c) making the choice to step back and hoping that would be a wake up call to the person that they're seriously harming themselves.
You did the responsible thing for yourself and your friend by stepping back.
you are not a doctor or professional you were a kid who didnt even have your own nonsense sorted out.

VR has been a struggle for me. I absolutely wish it wasn't, but I run up against the same social anxiety that makes my day-to-day IRL life so difficult. But I have friends for whom it has been a literal transformative experience in their lives and I'm not willing to write off their experience because Apple made a headset for rich people.

All right so here's where I'm at:
Workplace is essentially sending my department home because of lack of work for a myriad of reasons.
I've been dependent on Uber and stream to supplement but college is making that hard.
I AM looking for another job that I can work around my college schedule and I do have plans to make things better. But I've been losing 20-30 hours at work per check (2 weeks) for 2 months and it won't improve "until Christmas".
Could use any help I could get rn 💕

@artfulreggie Fair point. I was just checking if there was an easier method then trying three search engines with various terms. Just figuring I should check and see.
@Saintajax33 I just assumed maybe someone had a check site or other services outside of me brute force checking multiple search engines and news sites which is my usual method.
@Saintajax33 hah, not valiant no, but thanks. anyway I can't find anything so I'll keep digigng this place is selling what i want cheaper then target or potterybarn and that... does not make sense.
@Saintajax33 Fair enough. I try and mitigate where possible and watch out for concerns with the understanding nothing is perfect. But I understand that's not possible in every scenario and not everyone has the bandwidth.
