Having a really hard time knowing that people are so close at FE. My heart wants to go but my gut and head know it's bad idea. I'd love to go hang, but I know the whole 'con' thing would make me crazy anxious with COVID worries. I'm already upset that they're removing masking mandates on Monday here.
Like, I can't bring myself to eat out - let alone to go to the largest city in Canada to a social gathering with people from all over.

I'm glad for the people that are there having a good time, but I know it'd explode my anxiety just getting there.
Today's been hard, but tomorrow's going to be the worst I think - knowing I'm not working and just like, not going. :/

@tfproxy I was talking about this with Ang, and we agreed that a big reason why we're comfortable doing this is because we didn't have a choice about breaking this seal. We've had to travel and mingle because the alternative would be to just not see each other for 2/3 years, so given that we've done stuff already and been fine it's made this seem daunting yes, but not insurmountable. For someone who has been able to stay locked down, it makes sense for this to be 0 -> 1000

@abe_e_seedy Thanks. Yeah, I am 100% happy for everyone there, not meant to be judgey or 'tut tut'ing or anything. There are some other confounding factors for me too that would have made it harder this year anyways.
I know I am doing the right thing for me personally, at the same time I'm just this wild mix of conflicting emotions about it.

@tfproxy try not to beat yourself up about it, I guess is my point. There'll be other opportunities, for sure
