@fineursine yeah, unfortunately dealing w/ in-laws is just an ongoing thing that has to get figured out as it goes. I've definitely had my share of in-law woes. Hopefully they can figure out a way to deal with the really harmful stuff and shrug off the rest. It's a challenge.

@fineursine I find weddings end up being largely about what other folks want unless you really put your foot down, but it's super fair if your sis isn't in a place to be able to do that w/ her fiancee's family. IMO as long as he's on the same page as her ('wow my family is being rough, but hopefully we can just get through it') that makes a world of difference.

@fineursine yeah; I think a lot of that stuff exists so people can carry water for them reposting it in a very clickbaity way like 'ah fuck I can't believe this garbage [link]'. I think bare minimum with shit like that, folks should screencap the shitty part they're responding to and take the clicks away.
