An #introduction / #reintroduction given the previous one was out of date.
Hello world, I'm beeps. I'm a trans agender (it/its), asexual, furry, and robotkin, normally (but not always) represented online as a robotic bat. I'm the core of a system that also includes Olive.
Olive is non-binary (they/she), also asexual, and represented online as a plushie squirrel suit. Olive, whilst not entirely nonvocal, doesn't speak often, so you probably won't hear from them much.
Together, we work as a front-end developer for the British government and smooch @taylor twice as much as is necessary.
I wrote a big long blog post about my potentially plural experiences and what I've been doing about them. https://beeps-bot.tumblr.com/post/699291391296143360
^ This toot pretty much still stands, btw. Mastodon good, but underdeveloped ecosystem makes it a bit too friction-y for me to do more than check in once or twice a day.
@ripp_ 'Overcorrecting' is a pretty good way of explaining it, I think.
@PsyChuan We only tend to use the abbreviation internally and in technical situations, it's 'accessibility' otherwise.
Same for localisation and internationalisation (l10n and i18n, respectively).
@ripp_ Grab whatever the non-mac equivalent of Karabiner is and just remap everything yourself!
@SwooshyCueb @codl I've also been using custom styles on Wikipedia for a while just because uncapped line lengths are horrible. I don't really mind the changes, except for the article TOC being moved under the nav.
I have been informed that I was incorrectly compensating for a 0-indexed version array and I am, in fact, on version 31.
I apologise for this OBOE.
