Hello world, I'm beeps. I'm a trans agender (it/its), asexual, furry, and robotkin, normally (but not always) represented online as a robotic bat. I'm the core of a system that also includes Olive.

Olive is non-binary (they/she), also asexual, and represented online as a plushie squirrel suit. Olive, whilst not entirely nonvocal, doesn't speak often, so you probably won't hear from them much.

Together, we work as a front-end developer for the British government and smooch @taylor twice as much as is necessary.

If we did like, furry Twitter, a particular feature that'd need to exist is like... Google+ circles. One account, separate general/vent/AD feeds, follow lists and privacy rules. That'd be smart, IMO.

^ This toot pretty much still stands, btw. Mastodon good, but underdeveloped ecosystem makes it a bit too friction-y for me to do more than check in once or twice a day.

Also hello again Mastodon. This month’s identity crisis is wondering if I’m plural or not.

The convention to shorten “Russian politics” to just “rupol” in CWs makes me think folks are just discussing Drag Race.

@ripp_ 'Overcorrecting' is a pretty good way of explaining it, I think.

@PsyChuan We only tend to use the abbreviation internally and in technical situations, it's 'accessibility' otherwise.

Same for localisation and internationalisation (l10n and i18n, respectively).

I really like Mastodon conceptually but over time I'm come to realise that, unless someone makes a desktop/mobile combo-client that's as good as Tweetbot is, it's gonna be so difficult for me to actually use it consistently.

@ripp_ Grab whatever the non-mac equivalent of Karabiner is and just remap everything yourself!
