I made a little auto-updating Mastodon feed for next to my desk, so y’all can constantly be in my face.
At the very least, I can use it with my current iPad if I follow through on my plan of replacing it in the next couple of months. Does mean the old one goes unloved though :<
It's actually got quite a few painting weirdoes in it. My method of DOM manipulation might just be too much for it to handle.
I've spent the day writing a funky minimal Mastodon client for iOS 9(!) so I can upcycle my old iPad but oh my god making iOS 9 do stuff is so much harder than I thought now I'm used to nicer things.

Working as a developer doesn't mean you're smashing keys on your keyboard for 8 hours straight.
It's thinking, learning, experimenting, communicating, reading, trying, exploring, scribbling, and probably a dozen other things. Then, for just a couple minutes each day, you actually type some code.
Hypothetical situation for you all. What if:
- Super Animal Royale was also the Star Trek universe.
- Emy was in Starfleet throughout the 22nd to 24th centuries.
- Emy relentlessly dabbed the entire time.
It might look something like this.

One of my favourite Star Trek: Voyager moments must be the episode where Q spends the entire time trying to convince Janeway to have sex with him, she consistently says “hell no” and eventually he just does it with another Q in front of her; and it turns out that it just involves touching fingers for a couple of seconds.

I've been working from home effectively full time for nearly two years now. Wowsers it does not feel like that long.
Algorithms kinda ruined everything. Twitter would be miles better without an algorithm. YouTube would be miles better without an algorithm. Facebook probably wouldn't have destroyed democracy if it didn't have an algorithm.
Let's just abolish maths.
